FAQ

Investments and price information

  • What types of investments can be added to Portfellow?

You can add all types of investments to Portfellow. Most publicly traded stocks, funds, cryptocurrencies, and Baltic bonds are searchable directly within Portfellow. If you can’t find an investment through the search—or if it’s not publicly traded—you can create it manually and update its price data yourself.

In addition, Estonian pension funds and most Funderbeam investments are also available in Portfellow

  • What to do if I can’t find an investment?

If it’s a listed stock, fund, cryptocurrency, or Baltic bond, try searching by its name, symbol, or ISIN code. If you still can’t find it, you can add the investment manually. If you believe the investment should be available, feel free to email us at [email protected].

New stocks and bonds usually become searchable after their first trading day.

  • When and how often are investment prices updated?

Prices of publicly traded investments are updated once daily, after midnight, using the asset's closing price. For investments created manually by the user, prices must be updated manually. If a user adds a price with today’s date, Portfellow will apply it starting the next day.

  • How can I import a custom CSV file?

If you want to create your own CSV file, use the Portfellow Google Sheets template as a base. Note that for dividends, interest, or currency exchanges, the “Quantity” field must include the net amount received. For example, if you received a dividend of €100 and €30 was deducted as tax, you should enter €70 in the “Quantity” column and €30 in the “Tax” column.

  • I want the invoice made out to a company

If you already have an active subscription, go to the "Packages & Billing" page and click the link “Manage your subscription in Stripe.” On the page that opens, click “Update Information.” There you can enter your company name and contact details. If you're VAT-registered, you can also add your VAT number. After updating the information, click “Save,” and your next invoice will include your company details.

In Stripe, you can also add a new payment method, such as a company credit card, and set it as your default payment method.

If you've already received an invoice and paid as a private individual, ask your accountant how to record the expense for your company—there are several ways to handle this.
