The Story
Porfellow was founded by friends Marko Oolo & Taavi Ilves in 2024.
For over 10 years, Marko managed his portfolio using a self-made Excel sheet, while Taavi built a custom solution based on an accounting program.
However, neither solution scaled effectively and required significant time to maintain. When they explored existing software options, they found they all had limitations that didn’t meet their needs.
That’s why they decided to combine our 20+ years of experience to create the portfolio management tool we always wanted to use.
Within the first six months, over 400 investors started using Portfellow — proof that they weren’t the only ones facing the challenge of finding a truly effective portfolio management solution.

Marko Oolo
Founder & Head of Product
Marko is a partner at the venture capital fund Superangel and manages his portfolio alongside his professional responsibilities. He started investing in early 2014 and was awarded "Investor of the Year" in 2024.
Taavi Ilves
Founder & Head of Technology
Taavi works as a FinTech software engineer and spends the rest of his time managing his portfolio, spending time with family & promoting financial literacy. He has been investing since 2014.
Kaja Aulik
Growth & Marketing
Kaja drives growth, PR, and marketing efforts at Portfellow, bringing her expertise in building startup brands and scaling businesses.
