Connect LHV, start from a statement, and a rebuilt performance report

September was a big one. We connected LHV directly, made it far quicker to get a new portfolio going, added a tool that hunts down duplicate transactions, and rebuilt the investment performance report from the ground up.

    Here are the biggest updates.

    🏦 Connect LHV directly

    LHV API connection

You can now connect your LHV account straight to Portfellow. Create an access token in LHV, paste it in, and your accounts, holdings and transactions come in for you to review and confirm — no more monthly statement exports.

We also made connections harder to get wrong:

Wrong-account check: Before you attach a connection to an account, Portfellow compares it with what is already booked there and tells you if it looks like a mismatch.

One-step undo: Attached a connection to the wrong account anyway? For a week afterwards, you can undo it in one click.

One less app to hop between — and one less spreadsheet to update.

    📊 Investment performance, rebuilt

    Portfolio performance report

The investment performance report has been rebuilt to answer the question that matters most: where did my return actually come from?

    You can now:

    • See your return split into price change, income, currency and fees

    • Rank your holdings by the money they made, not just their percentage move

    • Read time-weighted return alongside your money-weighted return

    • Use the whole report comfortably on your phone

Around it, the rest of the reports got tidier too:

    • Reports overview: Grouped by the question each report answers, with live figures on every card.

    • Comparisons: Start from a default benchmark in a redrawn comparison table, with the period now in the settings sidebar.

Want to go deeper on the risk side of your performance? Our new guide to portfolio risk metrics walks through volatility, largest drop, beta and the Sharpe ratio in plain language.

🧹 Data Check: catch duplicate transactions

    Data check
    • Duplicates are the silent killer of an honest return — import the same statement twice and your cost basis and performance quietly go wrong.

Data Check finds likely duplicate transactions, shows how confident it is about each one, and lets you choose which copies to remove. It will never remove every copy of a transaction, and anything you delete can be undone. When it finds something new, you'll get a notification.

Adding a transaction by hand got the same protection: if the same amount on the same date is already booked, Portfellow tells you and shows you the matching rows.

That's September. As always, if something's missing or could work better, tell us — your feedback shapes what we build next.
